Classifying designs by shape is a difficult task. Is a SRB round or really hexdecagonal?
That depends on your point of view, and if girdle facets has been cut. By tradition the SRB is a round cut, but only because diamond cutters brute their rough before faceting, and not cutting girdle facets.

Long&Steele made an indexing based on shapes, that is widely used, and is the basic ordering in their DataVue2-database. I have supplied that index on the appropiate features as of the latest version of DataVue2 from John Franke.
